The Angels reportedly made a last minute run on Japanese star Daisuke Matsuzaka. Daisuke and his agent Scott Boras will likely hold a news conference this week to say which team he has signed with.

NCAA Football:
Former Miami coach Butch Davis is close to signing with North Carolina. The Tarheels are 1-9 under head John Bunting this year.

Jets star Vinny Testerverde met with Patriot team officials and is likely to sign with them as an experienced backup for Tom Brady.
